About Empowered Girl Alliance

VISION - We envision living in a conscious culture where every girl is self-identified and empowered by the knowledge of who she is and all she has to offer.

MISSION - It is our mission to develop engaging programs that inspire adolescent girls to identify themselves as beautiful, powerful, and valuable young women. It is also the mission of the EGA to cultivate sustainable mentorship networks to affirm these girls by accepting and admiring them for who they are, by encouraging them to be all they can be, and by providing a safe place for them to share the details of their life journey.

How do you want your daughter's life to be different?

Presented by Circles of Women South Central in conjunction with the Empowered Girl Alliance, we are offering an exciting and engaging weekend experience for adolescent girls 13 years-old through 12th grade.

Empowered Girl Training Weekend

September 9-11, 2011 - Livingston, TX

Girls will embark on an interactive journey of self-discovery that builds the awareness, skills, and confidence they need to live happy, fulfilling, and empowered lives.

Participants will explore all aspects of themselves — body, mind, heart, and spirit — in a variety of ways including storytelling, sharing, movement and an opportunity to explore their creativity.

This transformational journey begins with the weekend and continues over the course of a year . For the following 12 months after the weekend the girls will meet with their EGA mentors and other Empowered Girls to deepen their relationships and provide support for one another.

Program Fee: $500. (Includes weekend experience and ongoing support and participation through the EGA Mentorship Exchange and EG Circle Integration Programs.) Financial Aid is available - Click here

Empowered Girl Mentor Exchange

The EGA Mentorship Exchange provides Empowered Girls with accessible role models to look to for support and guidance. Adult women and peer mentors are paired with each girl to ensure that she has someone in her life to listen to, accept, and admire her for who she is. EGA Mentors offer authentic guidance through encouragement, exploration, education, and by sharing their own experiences.

EGA Mentors have completed the EGA Mentor Training and participated in the Empowered Girl Training Weekend. They are committed to developing a supportive ongoing relationship with their Empowered Girl by maintaining contact via phone or email, regularly attending EG Circles, and by arranging face-to-face time to explore, to create, or to simply have fun.

Empowered Girl Circles

Empowered Girl Circles provide a safe place for Empowered Girls to return to regularly in order to receive ongoing support, guidance, and share the details of their lives with their EGA peers and mentors.
We encourage open, adult-facilitated discussion as a means to explore options and examine consequences. We do not share our biases or advise, but empower girls to make sound decisions.
